Little Investors is built COPPA-first, from the ground up. Here's exactly how we protect kids and keep families' data private.
Parents in control
Only a parent or guardian can create an account. Parents set up every child profile and can export or delete all family data at any time.
No personal info from kids
Children provide only a nickname and a preset avatar — never a real name, email, photo, or location. There's no chat and no social network.
No ads, no tracking, no data sales
We show no third-party advertising, run no ad trackers, and never sell or rent anyone's data.
Practice money only
All investing is a simulation with virtual cash and delayed data. No real money is ever involved, and no real trades are placed.
Security by design
Each family's data is isolated with database row-level security. Passwords and child PINs are stored only as secure hashes, new passwords are checked against known breaches, and everything travels over HTTPS.
Safe payments
Payments are handled by our payment processor — we never see or store card numbers, keeping us at the lightest PCI compliance tier.
Your data rights
Parents can download a full copyof their family's data, or permanently delete a child profile or the entire account, at any time from Account & privacy. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
For schools
We designed Little Investors for classroom use. For school and district deployments, schools may provide consent on behalf of parents under FTC COPPA guidance, and we can sign a data-processing agreement. Reach out on our Schools page.
